If a recruiter can't find your education or skills quickly, they move on. Use clear section headings, consistent spacing, and a logical order: summary, education, projects, experience, skills.

2. Objective Statements Instead of a Summary

"Seeking a challenging position to utilize my skills" says nothing about you. Replace it with a 2-line summary naming your degree, a key skill, and what you're looking for.

3. Listing Duties Instead of Achievements

"Responsible for data entry" is weak. "Processed 200+ records weekly with zero errors" is strong. Use real numbers wherever they're true.

4. The Same Resume for Every Company

Recruiters can tell when a resume was never customized. Match your skills section to the keywords in each job description before you apply.

5. Spelling and Grammar Errors

Even one typo can suggest carelessness. Read your resume aloud before sending it, and ask someone else to check it too.

6. Unprofessional Email or Photo

Stick to a simple email like firstname.lastname@gmail.com. Skip the photo unless the employer specifically asks for one.
