The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have officially released the notification for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025. CAT is the gateway to India’s most prestigious management programs, including MBA, PGP, and doctoral-level courses at the IIMs and several other top B-schools across the country.

CAT 2025 – Important Dates

  • Registration Opens: August 1, 2025 (10:00 am)

  • Registration Closes: September 13, 2025 (5:00 pm)

  • Admit Card Download: November 5 – November 30, 2025

  • Exam Date: November 30, 2025

  • Result Declaration: First week of January 2026 (Tentative)

CAT 2025 will be conducted in three sessions on the exam date.


CAT 2025 Eligibility

Applicants should check the detailed eligibility criteria on the official CAT website.Note: Fulfilling the minimum eligibility does not guarantee shortlisting by IIMs.


Registration Fees

  • ₹1300 for SC, ST, PwD category candidates

  • ₹2600 for all other categories

The registration fee is non-refundable and is payable only once, regardless of the number of programs or institutes applied to.


Test Centres

CAT 2025 will be held in around 170 cities across India. Candidates can choose up to 5 preferred cities during registration. The final allotment will depend on availability and is at the discretion of the CAT authorities.


Reservation Policy

IIMs will follow the Government of India’s reservation rules for various categories.No changes in category will be entertained after CAT registration.
